PLACE 3 MCNCA- McInnis Canyons National Conservation Area
Hi,
Today we went to the McInnis Canyons National Conservation Area. (MCNCA). It is 123,4000 acre area west of Grand Junction. It was named after Scott McInnis and it is run by the BLM. There are 4 free campgrounds and are located south of I-70 exit 2.
We had a picnic at this campsite. Our dog joined us on this outing. He enjoyed our hike but could have done without the burs in his feet!
The last place that we explored today was the High North Campground and this was on the north side of I-70, exit 2. This campground was up a steep one lane road with some small pull outs. The views from the campground were so beautiful.
We hope you have a good day and night,
