PLACE 47 Georgetown

Hi,   Today we explored the historic town of Georgetown Colorado which is in the mountains west of Denver before the Eisenhower tunnel and the elevation is 8530 ft. The views from town are beautiful. The lake in the picture is Georgetown Lake.

Georgetown has a park that has the most fun looking kids park that we have ever seen. It is on Park Street. The project was made possible by the  Clear Creek Metro Recreation District.

The history of this town includes that it was given the name" Silver Queen of Colorado" because it produced loads of silver at one time. The down town section of town has historic buildings from 1870s.

Sis states that they had a good time at Cabin Creek Brewing. It has indoor and outdoor seating. It is a family friendly lakeside brew pub that was started by 5 Coloradans. We are looking forward to trying this some time.

There are many events in this little town and the information is at  georgetown-colorado.org/events/

For two weekends every December they transform the downtown into a holiday scene from the past. We think that a visit here in December will be something to look forward to seeing.

LAZY CAMPING: Egg Beaters can be frozen for 3 months. We like to freeze the small cartons to take camping and use them when unthawed.  This help keep the ice chest cold longer also.

Have a great day and night,

💕 50 + Lazy Campers
