OVERNIGHT #30 DINOSAUR INN & SUITES HOTEL / DINOSAUR NATIONAL MONUMENT &

Hi, After 3 nights in a state park cabin without shower or running water, we booked a night at the Dinosaur Inn & Suites. This hotel is locally owned and operated and located in the heart of downtown Vernal Utah. They offer excellence in quality, comfort and hospitality since 1929. All rooms have WIFI, high speed internet, fridge, microwave, Keurig coffee maker, iron and Direct TV with HBO and Cinemax. All the comforts were very appreciated!

Our travels were to the Dinosaur National Monument. Our first stop was at the Quarry Visitor Center which is in Jensen, Utah. They are open all year except some holidays. We watched a 12 minute park film and then with an information packet we went exploring.

This park has amphibians, birds, fish, mammals & reptiles. We were able to watch and enjoy some mule deer.

Next we went to the Quarry Exhibit Hall which is a separate building near the Quarry visitor Center.  This exhibit hall allows visitors to view the wall of approximately 1,500 dinosaur bones in a refurbished space. Here you can gaze upon the remains of numerous different species of dinosaurs from the Late Jurassic period, including Allosaurus, Apatosaurus, Camarasaurus, Diplodocus and Stegosaurus and several others.

The amenities here are accessible sites, water bottle filling station, benches, scenic photo view areas, restrooms and more.
We enjoyed traveling back in time 150 million years. February is a great time to visit because it isn't crowded!

LAZY CAMPING MEAL: Our meal was from the 7-11 Ranch Restaurant take out. It is the oldest existing restaurant in Vernal Utah. Our room had a microwave and so we enjoyed our meal in our room watching a movie called Blended.

Have a good day and night,
💕50 + Lazy Campers
