PLACE 2 Highline State Park

 Hi,

It has been a long time since we had been to Highline Lake State Park. We've never been in the winter to observe birds. The Audubon Society designated the park an important bird area; thousands migrate through the area every winter.

Today we watched 6 swans swim on Mack Mesa Lake (part of Highline Lake State Park) as we enjoyed our thermos of hot coffee. It was a lovely afternoon.

Lazy Camping Idea: Cook porkchops on a stick over a campfire. "oh no, I forgot the salt" but if you have your pork chips with salty potato chips- it makes a great easy meal.

directions: I-70, exit 15, north on co 139, left on Q road, right on 11 8/10 road. destination on the left.

To All a Good day and night,
💕 from 50+ Lazy Campers
