OVERNIGHT #34 MESQUITE NV. / SNOW CANYON STATE PARK
Hi, Our outing today was to the Snow Canyon State Park at 1002 Snow Canyon Drive in Ivins, Utah. It is about 48 miles from Mesquite NV. This park has many trails & dunes to explore on foot, bike, or horseback. The campground is surrounded by ancient lava flows and red Navajo sandstone. To get there we took I-15 to exit 6 which is Bluff St. ( UT 18) and turn left on Snow Canyon Dr. The day was very windy so we had a car picnic.
We found a good coffee place in St George called Beans & Brews at 1216 S. Bluff St. It has dine in or drive through. We had a latte and mocha, both of which were good. The drive through was very convenient and the employees were so nice. There were palm trees to view while enjoying the
coffee.
We like to fine parks in Mesquite that we have not explored. Today we finally found the Hillside Arboretum Park. It is small and so that is why we have missed it when looking for it in the past. It is a tree lined park with a beautiful pathway located at 501 Hillside Dr.
LAZY CAMPING MEAL: There is a McDonalds right across the street from the Virgin River Hotel. We know this is not the healthiest meal but if you stick with just a sandwich purchased from the drive through and then have it with a salad and grapes, then its fast and probably better for you than fries. The bag salad can be mixed all in the bag that it comes in for easy clean up.
Have a good day and night,
💕 50 + Lazy Campers
